They had an escalator movie moment of falling in love. Then they took the usual steps of dating, moving in together and even got a few cats along the way. Now they’ve said yes to a forever together, filled with everyday, ordinary love and a WHOLE lot of joyous celebrating.
Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a wedding with more celebrating. Marie-Pierre & Stefan’s Airship 37 wedding in Toronto’s distillery district was one full of song and surprise performances in honour of their love, with elements throughout the day representing both her French-Canadian heritage and his traditional English side. After their sweet first look and a sunny adventure around the Distillery, their guests mingled in the evening sun, sipped bubbly in the cocktail lounge and sung well into the night. And from the very start of the day to the very end, these two were completely absorbed in their day, full of smiles and absolute happiness.
Marie-Pierre & Stefan, thank you for sharing your story with me. I know your days ahead as husband and wife are going to be filled with just as much love and joy as your day was. Wishing you a lifetime longer of perfectly ordinary love, filled with song, snuggles and lots of smooches.
All my love, Chris.

Marie-Pierre got ready for the day with her girls in their gorgeous city condo. Have you seen a more excited bride? And those bridesmaid reactions? The best!
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE it when my couples do a first look? It doesn’t get sweeter than this!
I love this shot below that Deanne grabbed! Sporting a bit of a bump in the heat of the day, I could not have managed without her as my assistant & second shooter. Thank you for stepping in lovely!
Jill from The Rose Mint blew. me. away with the ceremony backdrop and the gorgeous florals for the day. Not only that but she is the sweetest ever. Can’t wait to work with you again Jill!
When I think of Marie in a dress, this is it! This Truvelle stunner suited her perfectly and she swished around in it all day. One of my all-time faves for sure.
I loved this traditional touch added in to their day. Just before the ceremony, their rings were offered up to guests for a quick blessing on the couple’s marriage. Grandma spent an extra minute doing just that!
For anyone worried that a first look ruins the down the aisle moment….here’s proof that nothing can take it away!
I’m writing a lot today but this moment during the ceremony sparked my first happy-tears of the day. The moms singing “Going to the Chapel,” full of laughs and fun and joined in during the chorus by everyone present.
During dinner service the guests were surprised with a live dance performance just for the bride & groom. The first of many surprises to honour their love for music, dance and of course, each other!
The formalities of their night ended with the most hilarious bouquet toss and then in probably the coolest way possible with a traditional English Morris men’s folk dance.
Feel free to leave the couple well wishes in the comments below.
xx
