While growing my own small business, I’ve met SO many incredible other entrepreneurs and boss moms and Stephanie of Stephanie Street Events is just one of them. We met a couple of years ago at Chrysalis Yoga Studio (which in itself has brought so many of my most favourite Canadians into my life) and I’ve loved watching her business grow and change over the years.
When Stephanie approached me to document her event, Burlington Made Artisan Market there was no way I could turn down the chance to spend the day surrounded by such creativity. I also knew that Sunshine Donuts would be there so it was practically impossible to miss anyway.
My approach to event photography is pretty journalistic, which takes me back to my studying roots and I love it. For an event like an artisan market, I also like to get some more interactive headshots with vendors and product close-ups for their use on social media channels because it’s not often creatives have the chance to get their crafts documented “in action” so to speak. During Burlington Made, I couldn’t take more than a couple of steps without being blown away by the talent and variety of crafts and products available and I can’t WAIT to shop at the next event on November 24th. Be sure to visit Burlington Made.com and save the date! Want a taste of what to expect? Have a browse below and head over to this Look Local article for more on the event too! (My first Canadian publication which is a pretty fun thing to add to 2018!)
