She is organised, elegant and full of surprises.

He is quiet, caring and possibly the biggest rugby fan I’ve ever met.

Together, they take on the world laughing, sharing and dreaming of their future.

I woke up on the morning of Douglas & Lize’s wedding, hardly believing that our count-down was over. When I shot their engagement shoot, it was still 68 sleeps to go! But in the weeks leading up to the wedding, Lize kept me updated with her organising and ideas and with each email, we celebrated their ever-decreasing countdown. With a radiant black wedding dress, an antique ring and a couple who rocked out in the rain, this wedding will always hold a special place in my heart.

Douglas & Lize, thank you for welcoming me into your lives and letting me tell your story {oh…and for making me stay just for wedding cake…I’m still dreaming of it!}. Douglas, I hope you are constantly cared for and surprised by your gorgeous wife. Lize, I wish you a lifetime of love and the way Douglas looks at you. Mr & Mrs Boom, may you always rock the rains and may your forever be as radiant as this day.
