Sweet Olivia

In-home newborn photography sessions really have my heart. I’m always very moved when my clients open their homes during this intimate and often very vulnerable stage of their “new normal” and ask me to document the magic of their new messy ways while they settle down together.
I got to know Lauren & Chris during their winter maternity session and couldn’t wait for the happy news from Lauren that their girl had made a safe arrival. Lauren is an L&D nurse, so I was pretty sure she would totally rock newborn life but seeing Chris with his baby girl just about melted my heart. He is a total natural. Together they set up the sweetest pink and grey nursery for sweet Olivia and fur-bro George was really keen to get in on the action too.
Newborn Photography | what to expect from your session
Documenting the details of the room, tiny newborn footprints and all the little touches of anticipation that parents have poured into a nursery or space is something so special. I often start these lifestyle newborn sessions with a focus on the design and details and then let the shoot unfold as everyone feels it naturally should. Sometimes this means outfit changes and feeding sessions and not-so-sleepy babies and I’m totally ok with that. Newborn sessions are planned to run a little longer than my usual portrait sessions so allow for a more relaxed time together to capture both the more posed and structured images as well as all the special ones in between.
Lauren & Chris, thank you for welcoming me into your Burlington home for this session with your sweet Olivia. I’m LOVING watching her grow over on Instagram and can’t wait to have you all back in front of my camera for a catch up soon.
xx
Kind words
Lauren & Chris
“Chris did a wonderful job capturing both our maternity and newborn photos. She was a great sport despite less than ideal weather conditions during our maternity shoot and still managed to get amazing pictures! When it came to our newborn photos, Chris was easy going and patient when the baby was less than cooperative. We are very pleased with how all of our pictures turned out and I know we will cherish these pictures for many years to come. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Chris again to capture our important life moments in the future.”
